Every holiday season, ComEd is proud to partner with local organizations to sponsor beautiful holiday lights displays for our customers, along with discounts to attend these signature events.

Maybe you’ve wondered how many lights it takes to power this winter holiday magic? Or just how much energy do the displays use? By only using LED lights, these holiday exhibits use up to 80% less energy than traditional incandescent lights.

“The Morton Arboretum is committed to sustainable practices and we’re proud to partner with ComEd to use energy-efficient and environmentally friendly lighting technologies, which include LED lights and bulbs that can be recycled, to power one of U.S. News and World Report’s 23 Best Light Displays in the U.S.,” said Rachel Novick, director of sustainability at The Morton Arboretum.

Keep reading to find out how many lights it takes to brighten the nights this holiday season and how by using LED lights only they are reducing their carbon footprint! Visit ComEd.com/HomeSavings to learn how you too can save energy and money this holiday season.
