Summertime was more than just a break from school for teens who participated in ComEd’s Youth Ambassador Program. These high school students are thinking about their future and looking for programs that will help them gain the experience they can use to be successful long-term.

In this short video, Youth Ambassador participants Chenjia, Modesta and Ilse share about how they took advantage of the seven-week program last summer, what they learned and how it is helping them prepare for their future. Instructor Elliot Michael also discusses how the communication and collaboration skills they learned this past summer in the program will benefit these students for years to come.

Approximately 450 teens have participated in the Youth Ambassador Program since it started in 2013. To learn more and apply for the summer 2017 program, visit After School Matters. The application period will open in April 2017.
