Powering down to save up was a summertime trend for customers who participated in ComEd’s Peak Time Savings program.

Last summer more than 224,000 ComEd customers participated in the Peak Time Savings program and saved a whopping $1,211,179 on their energy bills. That is nearly 40 percent increase when compared to what was saved in the summer of 2016.

Peak Time Savings is a ComEd program that gives customers the opportunity to reduce their energy usage during times of the day when energy is most in demand – which is usually during very hot days when air conditioners are on, stores are open and factories are running.

Customers can sign up for next summer’s Peak Time Savings program as well as other energy-saving programs by visiting ComEd.com/WaysToSave.
