ComEd Updates App for Customers “On-the-Go”

ComEd’s popular mobile app is getting a makeover that makes it even easier to check your energy usage.

The updated app, which launched Feb. 6, features fingerprint login and push alerts. The app makes it simple to manage more than one account at a time and is available to both residential and business customers on smartphones and tablets.

“More than ever, people are turning to their smartphones to do business. We want our customers to have that convenient option when it comes to their energy provider, too,” says Erica Borggren, vice president of customer operations for ComEd.

The updated features include the ability to:

  • Log in with fingerprint
  • View energy usage details
  • Receive alerts and set notification preferences

More than 1 million customers have downloaded the ComEd mobile app since it launched in 2012. ComEd’s free mobile app is available through the App Store or Google Play.
